Elective hospitalization following plastic surgery in Austin, Texas may cost anywhere from $1,803 to $2,759. These prices reflect only room and board per day costs and do not include any dressing changes, special equipment such as the leg compression device or transportation. In addition, these costs often represent shared hospital rooms with little privacy. Noises from neighboring hospital rooms and staff waking you up at all hours of the night make for less than optimal conditions following your plastic surgery. Hospital nursing staff ratios are typically as high as 6-8 patients per nurse which makes pampering impossible. Further, exposure to rampant hospital infections including MRSA or VRE "Superbugs" and C. diff, with growing resistance to antibiotics have added to the increasing demand for a better alternative in recovery care following outpatient elective plastic surgery.
We are NOT a substitute for hospitalization or medical care. If you need medical care following your surgery, you should stay in the hospital and not with us. Your plastic surgeon is the only one qualified to determine the level of care you require following your surgery and if non- medical assistance by Elite Post-Op Suites aftercare staff is appropriate for you!
